Flamingo

A traditionally crafted puppet with a distinctive authorial signature. The creator builds on classical theatrical puppetry techniques while moving away from stereotypical figurative representation. The puppets are inspired by nature - especially flying creatures - whose movement serves as the primary model in developing an original control system. Although the suspension may appear complex, it is very easy to operate and produces an impressive, expressive motion. The puppet can be used by professionals, as well as serve as a beautiful decorative piece for the home.

This is an original, one-of-a-kind piece carved from linden wood. No molds or duplication techniques were used in its creation. The puppet is painted with water-based paints and finished with a time-tested, purely natural coating made from shellac resin dissolved in alcohol.
