It all started with my little ( huge ) obsession with the birch bark that led me to this couple. The branches were blowing in a gust of wind already with a tiny amount of golden coins between the dark leaves. I was sitting through the golden hour and staring at the bark while my subconscious was producing countless compositions, waiting for the light moments that would follow next.
The moment of the painting is unique, and it captures exactly how I felt there - gently dark.
