Birches in the Storm Light
Dark dark skies covered a long avenue of white birch trees. But all of a sudden the sun slipped through the storm clouds and lit their thin branches with brilliant bright white, I couldn't stop watching. I couldn't lose a single second of it by mixing the right tone, I let myself be fully impressed by it. I've never seen such a strong natural contrast in the landscape.
On the ground, I built a strong base against the strong wind and bravely started painting on two connected canvases. As the sun was setting, the landscape darkened and the birch trees turned off. But I just couldn't get that moment out of my head. I still see it.
